I HATE BLONDE X MISS ALISSA DEPOP PARTY IN NYC

by Rachel Lynch in

Hey NYC bitches, I've teamed up with fellow blonde-headed babe, Miss Alissa to host an event with Depop next Thursday at Hotel Chantelle. If you're around, come by at 8pm to shop our closets and enjoy free bottle service for the first hour! Depop will be provided TONS of polaroid film, so we'll be snapping lots of photos and dancing to DJ Jus-ske's rad music!  I really hope you guys can make it out! It's going to be super special, and mostly just about drinking + dancing + having a good time!

see you there

waiting on thunder love

by Rachel Lynch in

I wish you dreamed half as much as I do. I met you in the dead of winter. Your hands were as red as the skin on your lips. When you came into my studio from the pouring rain, it's like the Gods knew it was time to start things over again. And both of us, whether we knew it or not, were waiting on love. Silent motion. Late night, pour a little. I was bleached and you were dark as night. Sun-kissed skin for sun-kissed souls. You enjoyed watching life through the mirror of art, like myself. Playing around the edges and filling in the details as you wished. Leaving a blank space where there was nothing to fill. It was these little eccentricities that wrapped our souls together. We were running in life's youthfulness. I found a warm home in the cave of your chest, where the spirit runs through you. I hear it all in the center of my heart.

“In a nervous and slender-leaved mimosa grove at the back of their villa we found a perch on the ruins of a low stone wall. She trembled and twitched as I kissed the corner of her parted lips and the hot lobe of her ear. A cluster of stars palely glowed above us between the silhouettes of long thin leaves; that vibrant sky seemed as naked as she was under her light frock. I saw her face in the sky, strangely distinct, as if it emitted a faint radiance of its own. Her legs, her lovely live legs, were not too close together, and when my hand located what it sought, a dreamy and eerie expression, half-pleasure, half-pain, came over those childish features. She sat a little higher than I, and whenever in her solitary ecstasy she was led to kiss me, her head would bend with a sleepy, soft, drooping movement that was almost woeful, and her bare knees caught and compressed my wrist, and slackened again; and her quivering mouth, distorted by the acridity of some mysterious potion, with a sibilant intake of breath came near to my face. She would try to relieve the pain of love by first roughly rubbing her dry lips against mine; then my darling would draw away with a nervous toss of her hair, and then again come darkly near and let me feed on her open mouth, while with a generosity that was ready to offer her everything, my heart, my throat, my entrails, I gave her to hold in her awkward fist the scepter of my passion.”

Here's a second holiday look featuring a dress from Motel Rocks. This one's probably the most easy-to-wear holiday party dress I own. It's so simple to just throw on and match with a great necklace and fur. And again, I've decided to pair the fancy dress and fur with some awesome and casual kicks from TUK footwear. I love the striking disparity between the two, it's wild but it works.

How would you guys style this awesome gold dress? I'd love to know!

Upper West Side

IMG_7690 IMG_7718 up1 up2 up4 up329Here's a cool look I shot with Phil on the Upper West Side a few weeks back. I'm wearing a really cool leopard jacket from Missguided and these super funky shoes form Kat Macoine.

I actually bought the shoes for Fashion Week, but I didn't end up wearing them. Nasty Gal was carrying them, so I bought them from there. Sadly, you can't get them on their anymore.  The heel is super cool cause it's square. I don't own any shoes with a heel like that, so I had to have them!

Anyways, that's all I have for today guys! Tomorrow I'm going to be uploading a super special editorial shot in my new home again so get stoked! (Oh and tomorrow is Friday, so duh! Be excited!)

SONY DSCSONY DSCSONY DSCSONY DSCSONY DSCSONY DSCSONY DSCHey guys! Here's a dope collab I shot with Courtney Parrie of C/P. She makes tees and bags with amazing photographs of beautiful women on them. I love the cut and material of the tee as well as the photography on it. I'm wearing the black magic tee + holding the shady lady clutch! Finally a cute tee places that actually uses good photos as their graphics.

Hope you enjoy

The leaves fall, watery eyes. You gave up something and got something else. You paid in some way for everything that was good in your life. Like the beautiful leaves that fall to the floor, we have to endure the months of cold darkness for a passing season of lush beauty. But the highs are so high, you welcome the lows.

Somewhere deep inside the depths of our unconscious, we are inherently connected to the seasons. We feel what they feel, we fall when they fall. They affect us much more than our modern world will ever let on. Instead of letting the winter hinder you, keep you inside, or make you anxious, I pray you see the seasons for what they are - something that is so intrinsically a part of us, as we are of it, we are all one.
