desert bliss

by Rachel Lynch

The ultimate illumination, you are God. If you will accept this towering truth, and dare to stand atop this magnificent pinnacle, universal consciousness will be revealed to you from within. God is there. It is he who peers from behind your eyes, who is your own consciousness, who is your very self. You are not just a part of God, you are altogether God. And God, is altogether you.

Hanging at home today in me new Lord & Taylor #DesignLab dress thanks to NYLON. So stoked to be a part of this huge launch! I celebrated the release of the collection last night with my fellow babes, JagLever, Le Happy & my new intern, The Golden Hippie. We drank champagne & danced to Samantha Ronson DJing. (She's such a babe!!)

My teal jacket is by Karen Millen, which is an absolutely amazing spring piece. I'll be bringing you some more looks with them so stay tuned! x x

outer realms

by Rachel Lynch

Are you stuck in your mind? I'm stuck in mine too. See, I told you at the falls that I would love you. Lost promises a million miles ago. After the falls comes a rainbow. Want you back, but I don't need you at all.

Two by two, we walk in threes. We disappear into a dream. We do what we want, we do what we need. We hold our breath while the graveyard breaths.

stay gold

by Rachel Lynch

The sun shone through on those early spring days. Left us in a song, wide-eyed haze. It's rays were like gold. I've woken up in your bed, having no idea what or where I am. I always knew that I was young, but with a pseudo-intellectual daze, I can fool most anyone. Oh and the streets of New York City sure look pretty from way up here. And I always though that you'd be here. But shit gets fucked and people just disappear. So honey, now don't be that mad, time has told me that it's just not that bad. And these are the tides, the immovable destiny we can never alter. Studio apartment blues, just bad news. No matter how cleverly we may have sheltered it, our little love was never going to stay gold. We were bound to reach a dead end, and that was painfully clear.

But this heavy heart of mine never fails to bring me right back to the ability to love who I love when I have them. That's all you can do, really. Let them go when you must. If you know how to love, then you'll never run out.

Stay gold.

brooklyn blues

by Rachel Lynch

Baby's got the brooklyn blues. Short dresses and mini boots stacked in your third-floor apartment. Baby's a little muse with pastel long locks and tears in her eyes. Things aren't like they used to be. Everything is new, coffee shops and constant red lips. Getting her red lipstick everywhere, on everything and everyone. Seeing the world for the first time again. It's an easy walk down the street and a new hello with every turn.

between your heart and the mind

by Rachel Lynch

Whenever there's an argument between your heart and your mind, follow your heart. There are things that the heart can understand and feel, that the mind cannot relate to. There are things that you know, that you feel in your heart of hearts, that's not logical. She had a vision of herself, even as a dreamer. And she dreamt in the richest of colors, she woke exhausted from the adventures in her head. And instead of singing in the shower, she would write the lyrics on her wrist and have the ink drip down her body. She soaked herself in the world around her - the beauty, the culture, the words and the songs. "And there is so much left in the world to be", she though. She was willing today to do the things that others wouldn't do, to have the things that others didn't have. When you follow the heart, anything is possible. She refused to die, an unlived life.

Long weave, lipstick, I be on that Barbie shit. A bitch look plastic. Bitches stay frontin' like their clothes worth somethin' but that looks like H&M to me. I keep that cash like my eyelashes, long and pretty. I get flyer than the next bitch do. Bitches steady hating, anticipating and waiting for conversation, they wanna come chill with the dope bitch. Got a pack of swishers and a bag of purple by the tits.

A bitch look plastic.

just like a goddess dream

by Rachel Lynch

Don't wake the dreamer, she carries the seasons with her. Heart as red as the blood on her lips. Daughter of Persephone. Spirit lead her to the waters, where eternal springtime remained. But she let the good ones down. She let her true love down. She had his heart, but she broke it every time. The season asked her to hold on a little longer, to not let the darkness in. But dying as his phantom lover, he took her back down to the underworld, and she never learns.

i don't mind

by Rachel Lynch

It takes some getting used to, and I don't mind. The white sea's so wild, but here we are on this Brooklyn morning. Sun creeps in through the square window-panes, I know you're right. Simple black coffee for the simple morning mind. Legs crossed on the wooden chair, summer-skin starting to emerged. Everything is how it's suppose to be, morning creature in the morning light. Things aren't as whole, but I don't mind. I see the sky, and put my heart into that blue.

I HATE BLONDE X RACHEL ZOE

by Rachel Lynch

This tux dress by Rachel Zoe is such a striking addition to my wardrobe. I love that it's inspired by menswear, but makes me feel like a powerful woman. From the long sleeves to the V neckline, it flows into a double-breasted placket, that is really so imposing in person. You can get this piece from Shopbop just search "Rachel Zoe" and you'll see a ton of other pieces and killer boots (that I'm also dying to add to my wardrobe.)

I'm really happy about my collaboration with Shopbop. Between this piece and my black A Wang dress, I feel like I'm acquiring really strong pieces for my wardrobe that will be staples for me for years to come.

I hope you all have an amazing and successful Monday! My dad always told me it was important to "kill it" on a Monday, because it sets the tone for the rest of the week! I'll be heading to a shoot in an hour here then going to a vinyasa flow yoga class.

Love you all.
