rare london

by Rachel Lynch

Another look from the tail end of #NYFW, rare london sent me a whole box of goodies. My favorite was this Jackie O-esque dress and fur jacket. I wanted to take the class out of it, so I paired it with the new YRU monster boots.

Spending this week planning some looks for LA, hopefully you're ready for what I've got in store for you.

lake of fire

Yesterday morning, I probably wore my favorite look of the week. I was lucky enough to partner for #NYFW with one of my favorite brands, For Love and Lemons. I've long been lusting over this dress online and can't believe it's finally mine.

After my shoot and meetings yesterday, I sat in the lobby of the Ace Hotel in this dress. I took polaroids in the photo booth, then sat down on one of the big couches with a soy latte. I wrote a piece on living a creative life for Nakid Magazine. I felt really chic and inspired hiding under my hat, having this yellow dress flow to the floor, and the rings on my fingers gripped around the pen, as the words spilled onto the page. Sometimes, the way you dress can change how you feel.

Amanda Uprichard at #NYFW

by Rachel Lynch

When I arrived home from Wyoming, I had a bag of goodies waiting at my apartment. It was full of cute clothes from designer, Amanda Uprichard. I've long lusted over her clothes on Revolve, and was honored to partner with her this fashion week.

This silk jumpsuit seemed to be a hit on my social media, and I must say it's also super comfy. I paired it with dior sunglasses and all-new YRU star boots. (Talk about Jem and the Holograms!) I've got a few looks left for you guys so stay tuned and happy friday!

Wildfox at New York Fashion Week

by Rachel Lynch

I began yesterday in a Wildfox sweater dress on the Lower East Side. I'm so honored to be partnered with this brand for fashion week that I've loved since high school. This fruit salad sweater dress is from their Spring 16' Fairytale collection. I especially love the cherries on the butt! The kissy sunglasses are also from the most recent Wildfox collection.

I'm probably wearing these Y.R.U. red velvet boots too much, but I don't care. I feel like a baby rock star in them, and believe it or not -- they are super comfortable. If you see a tiny girl on the subway in red velvet boots, it's probably me.

dress like an angel in the morning...

by Rachel Lynch

Yesterday's first looked went a little something like this-- sheer rose dress, white hat, celine sunnies, and this cropped moto jacket by Quinn. When I went to their store a week ago to try on some pieces, I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of fur and leather jackets they had. As we all know, I'm usually someone that gravitates towards fur, but this white moto jacket really caught my eye. Not only does it hold a good shape, but it fits perfectly to my body and is very flattering.

I decided to pair it's cropped cut with a long sheer maxi dress. I think the two create an interesting look. I finished the look with some beautiful jewels from Vanessa Mooney, and a new white hat by Lack of Color.

Check the links below to shop, I'm off to a few more shows this afternoon - check my snapchat for updates!!

This outfit is from Doll Kills, and a part of their new exclusive collection with 24HRS. My goth baby bag is also from Dolls Kill & my hat is from Lack of Color. (My current hat obsession place.) I'm including links to shop my look below, love you guys xx

crush songs to sing in the dark with your rainbow lover

by Rachel Lynch

It's a gorgeous mix of words and tricks. It's a Saturday night. Red wine and good vibes before heading to the Ace. Squeezing teddy bears and rolling around on the apartment floor, listening to Crush Songs by Karen O. I'm staying over at yours tonight. I live out the characters I find in books. I think you do the same.

Around midnight you looked up at the stars, as if in that moment you saw their infinite complexity for what it was. They have spent so much time above the world, and I have spent so much time, here, with you.

kissing the lipless

Where will I find the inspiration to fall in love again. Listening to crush songs by Karen O. She sings of lovers left in New York City, how she wants her baby so much closer. I want a rock n roll love. I want pink petals falling to the floor drenched in whiskey after a long night.

I watch your convictions, voice like cake. Your goal was to make art without getting too self-conscious about making it. Of course, I wanted the same thing. Easier said. You missed some crazy conversations. You asked me what my art meant to me. And I told you that my life is just a mix of everything I find wonderful.

Romance was born. You said, "To create art means to be crazy alone forever." I knew you were quoting Bukowski. You bought me roses, I told you there are over 60 different kinds. How do you choose one, does each have a different sentiment?

In the song, "Skip Tracer," the Sonic Youth said, "LA is more confusing then anywhere I've ever been." Well, your arms are the most intense place I've ever been. The feeling of having you and the fear of losing you all wrapped into one. I have never felt so complete but fearful of the end all at once. It crashes like a wave but never mellows.

Perhaps I imposed on you a dream, a fantasy. After all, my whole existence is merely that.
