Making Out in Central Park, kissing boys at the Ritz Carlton. The first time I ever came to New York was when I was eleven. My Dad and I stayed for his work in Central Park South at the Ritz Carlton. He took me that day to get my first red satin dress from the big Macy’s department store (that we always saw in the movie, Miracle on 34th Street) and then to my surprise, bought me my first diamond necklace from Tiffany’s on 5th Ave. We went and saw the Lion King on Broadway that night. At eleven, as we were sitting in the hotel bed eating ritz carlton room service chocolate chip cookies and milk (one glass of milk there is eleven dolls, our running joke…) I told him I was going to make it big in New York someday, that I was going to live there and make all my dreams come true.
I’d hate to go back on my word ; )
